I know you are excited to see the Display my art designs created by your child. A brochure with a free magnet will be sent home Friday with each student who submitted a drawing.
If you did not get your drawing in on time and you would like to participate, please go to Display My Art Drawing Template for the drawing template. Have your child create a masterpiece! These make great Christmas gifts for the grandparents!
To order, you will need to submit the drawing, the completed order form, and a check for payment in full made payable to Norwood PTA. Please note that all checks are subject to a $15.00 service fee.
The arts—and the National PTA Reflections program—support student success and serve as a valuable tool for building strong partnerships in your school community. Celebrate arts learning in your school community with Reflections.
National PTA Reflections welcomes all grades and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts. Annually, thousands of students will reflect on a common theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.
The theme for the 2015-2016 school year is Let Your Imagination Fly. This theme—created by Rachel Sperry of Northwood, N.D.—was selected through the Reflections Theme Search Contest. When asked what inspired her theme, Rachel said, “I tell myself to let my imagination fly when writing and sketching.” The theme helps Rachel to explore her imagination and she hopes it will inspire others to be creative. Join the search for a future theme by entering the annual Theme Search Contest. (http://www.pta.org/programs/artsineducation.cfm)

We’re looking to add more photos of the students at PTA sponsored Events to our website, Facebook page and e-newsletters. Since many of us aren’t able to be at all or even many events scheduled during the day, we think it would be a great way to bring a little glimpse of school life back home. However, we take student privacy very seriously and won’t post without your permission. If you’d like your child’s name and/or photos to be allowed to be posted, please take a second and fill out the attached permission form.
Thanks to all of you who participated in the 2014-2015 Norwood PTA School Survey. A little input from you goes a long way and we’re well on our way to making plans that will address the needs and wants of the Norwood School. Keep an eye out for future surveys and be sure to let us know how we can continue to grow our school. You can check out the results from the survey here.
